Company Profile

Southern Marketing, Inc., a family owned insurance marketing firm, has been helping Insurance Brokers and General Agents build their business and clientele since 1982.

J. Lamar Clements, LUTCF, entered the insurance business in May 1971 as a captive agent for a leading Mutual Company.

In 1982 he formed his own brokerage agency, representing two national companies, aggressively conducted Field Training with his Broker Agents, and wrote Medicare Supplements and Final Expense. He began to teach a concept that duplicated his own efforts called "Agency Building."

Today, Lamar and his staff manage over 2,800 brokers, 21 Agency Building units. He has taught various Insurance courses as well as continuing education for his Home State Insurance Department
